Nice idea! Those succulents are extremely pretty. What was the SAK? an Explorer?

There was no caption. I think I see a mag glass in there. Probably a good guess. It almost looks like they are mounted on a stainless surface. Magnets maybe?

I don't get it... do the plants actually survive without soils or fertilizer and so little space?
Doesn't the water spill over?
With what kind of plants can this be done?

Google succulent plants and click on wiki. They are plants that survive in arid/dry climates. Also, the cork is hollowed out and soil is stuffed in there.

I'm no SAK pro, but after googling it I agree. I didn't know the Huntsman Lite had an inline philips.

Thanks for sharing with us. I really like the idea.  :)
I would love to do this as an extra Mother's Day surprise, but I have a 3yr. old that loves magnets and knows how to use our step ladder. I still might give this a try regardless.

Is it just me, or does the second pic show an inline phillips being used as an awl?

I think they used the phillips to put a "trace" and enlarged the hole with the main blade.
Nice idea :)

This is pretty cool. I'm thinking if I did it, it would be outside and I would like to make a board or something with stands/holders for the corks as I don't expect the plants to live to long and something easily interchangeable would be ideal in my opinion. If I get bored enough I might give it a go.
