[TRADED] Custom Orange Alox
on: April 23, 2014, 12:19:32 PM
Putting this custom Orange Old Cross Alox up for trade. If you are interested please read this very carefully. This knife has some problems. I am very upfront and wan't both parties to be happy with the trade so I will go over everything so you know exactly what you are getting. First and foremost everything functions correctly. Scales are Orange old cross alox (cerakoted). Liners are black (cerakoted). The peening has damages the scales a little bit as you should see in the picture. The mag glass is died black. I have the black pocket clip that goes with it. I took it off for pocket carry, but it can be put back on easily. It will be included with the knife in the trade.

I am looking to trade this by the weekend. Anyone I trade with must be able to ship there end out on Monday the 28th at the latest as I am moving and it will not show up before I move if it is not shipped out by then. I will be cutting it close but it should work out if you ship in a small flat rate box by Monday.

Going over the tools one by one:

Cap Lifter: Slight side to side play
Bottle opener: Generous side to side play
Philips driver:  Slight side to side play
Mag Glass: No more play than normal
Scissors: No side to side play, spring is good
Blade: No side to side play
Awl: Very slight side to side play, a very small portion of the tip was broken off but it works good as a awl still.

Like I said everything is fully functional and this would make a great EDC beater for anyone. If you have any questions about anything or wan't pictures of anything particular feel free to ask. I can get pictures of the pocket clip as well.

Trade value is around $45.
CONUS ONLY.

As for trades I am open to anything at the moment. No flashlights though. I'm set on the flashlight front for now. Thank you everyone for looking.  :salute:

Not interested, and I'm not in the CONUS anyway, but...

When you say "bottle opener" do you mean "can opener"? Just to make it clear ;)

I recognize that sak.

I had it made for me about a year or so ago.

I think captain Spalding is being a little harsh on its condition. It had a little play in the tools when I owned it but not as bad as he makes it sound.

Good Luck with selling /trading it.

I would take a shot at trading with you for it so I could get it back but I already know I didn't care for how fat it felt in my pocket. :)

Yea, I just like to be completely upfront about the condition and I rather be a little harsh and have the person I trade be surprised and happy that it's in better condition than described. Better than getting it and being surprised about things that were not mentioned. I'm just really weird about every detail when trading so my OCD is someone else's gain.  :D
