Fenix Lego?
on: June 23, 2008, 09:01:59 PM
Just a quick question.... the L1T Q2 has a momentary on switch right? If i was to get one and swap the switch with my L2D Q5 what would i get?

1) a 180 lumen 2 level L2T & a multilevel L1T?
2) something else?
3) the universe would collapse in on itself?

Thanks for any help :)
Roadie

Edit: would i have problems with level switching as the L2D works on a "momentary" press to change levels?

The short answer to your question is that swapping the switches of the two models will only change how the switch works, i.e. "forward" or momentary, vs. reverse.  The available modes are a result of the head you are using.

You can, however, swap the switches, bodies and heads on those two lights as you wish.  So, you could lego the parts to make an L1T, L2T, L1D or L2D and use either of the two switches in each of those setups.  Changing the levels with the L1D/L2D head would take some getting used to with the "forward" or momentary switch, but it can be done.  You would have to learn to change the mode with the momentary press until you reached the level you want, then click it in completely on that level. (hope that makes sense)
