Can I just mention that any Aspirin kept in case of heart attacks should be the 300mg Soluble (dispersible) type & replaced every 6 months.

Here's a good idea I just came across.

The good thing about driving a 4x4 is you can fit lots of stuff without actually taking up much usable space :D I just wish the hilux had more cubbyholes.

I have:
  • First aid kit
  • Fire extinguisher
  • My camo hunting jacket.
  • High power torch with spare batteries.
  • Sunblock and a hat.
  • Overnight bag with two changes of clothes, a towel, emergency blanket, food and two bottles of water.
  • 8 tonne towing strop, plus 100ft of 500lb paracord, plus some other larger cheap rope.
  • Two towbars (different for my different trailers) and my hook I replace them with when I'm offroading
  • Well stocked toolbox (mostly because at home I don't have a shed, it's 15 mins away at my folks place) with full socket/spanner set.

Then my EDC bag is always with me in there with a bunch of other stuff in it.

It sounds like a lot, but it's not. It's a toolbox and a bag. Everything else is hidden in cubbyholes.

Whiskey.  Lots of whiskey.

 Would that be before you start the engine or after? :P

It's emergency whiskey.  Only for emergencies.

That's actually a lot of really functional stuff you have in there, very close to what I require but I would need to add in my gym bag.

If I am not mistaken our climates are also quite similiar as well.

Nice. I thought fire extinguishers would be more common, though.
