Although I didn't get to go out on the boat yesterday :(  I did this afternoon :D
We headed straight out about 8 mile to the notorious Haisbro ( Happisburgh) sands .Many ships have been wrecked off there in days gone past and also more recently http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/norfolk/7186608.stm

I took a pic of Mid Haisbro buoy but couldnt take any more after that as things got a bit swelly ;)  I was doing radio/Nav and we had to pick our way through using the depth finder in 2 - 3 metre swell . Over the sands we saw a few waves turn into tunnels :D but stayed away from them ;) Conditions werent too bad and minimum depth in the channels we kept to were about 2 meters . Wouldnt want to do it without a chartplotter though as the idea is to go round them and not over them

Nice pic dunc :) A quick question, how far out are you "contracted" to go out to, i.e. when do you have to call the big boat out? :)

Up to about 15 maybe 20 miles but most of our suff is closer in .With the old boat it was 5 miles .

Mike yes they are solar panel's . Theres a light on it for at night .
