Nice plier head, looks just like the Wave's but with replaceable cutters

Thanks!

I am planning on having the head electropolished to "smooth" it all out.  I don't see any weaknesses in the pliers, but I haven't put them through the test yet.

The main reason I did this was to eliminate modifying any of the internal tools, mostly the scissor handle issue.  This way I can simply replace the original plier head if any warranty returns would be needed in the future.  I am still thinking of doing the outside scissors with 91mm Vic's.  Just need the time to do it.

Anyhow, just wanted to share a different way of doing the Recharge/Rewave mod

 ;)

please keep us posted on how the pliers hold up during testing! :tu: I'm definitely curious as to whether or not the plier head has been weakened at all. I haven't modified the plier head on any of my mods for exactly that reason.

This way I can simply replace the original plier head if any warranty returns would be needed in the future.

the people in the LM's warranty department can tell when a tool has been modified, even if everything is restored to the original configuration. I've asked them about it before. ;)

in my opinion, when I modify a tool, as soon as the first screw comes out, I have knowingly and willingly voided the warranty and forfeited the right to any future warranty claims on that particular tool.

That is a good point...but it's too much fun to tinker around with mods, right!?
