Another semi-finished handles... Orange G-10 and PCB from phone & DVD-ROM Sony 8)
One of them I see on CyberTool Solo :tu:

Oh, no you didn't  :twak:   :D

I am actually making the exact same thing from a PCB from an old printer. I started them a week ago and then had to stop due to eye injury. Your look nice too. That PCB is very difficult to work, though.

Hi folks - long time SAK fan, first time poster. Once made 2 major pieces of furniture using only a Swisschamp, wood, and screws. My Swisschamp though was too heavy for a back pocket, so here's my first modded SAK, tentatively called "Experimentor"

Contains everything I need in a pinch (plus scales help a lot), nothing I didn't. Decided if I needed more, I'd go get the Swisstool from my glove box.
I used to carry a Swisschamp every day, until the world became a much easier place to live in

Nothing beats orange G10!  :tu:

Now you have to test it. Stick it halfway in your pocket and go for a run through the woods, then backtrack and see how long it takes you to find it.

Broudie, interesting configuration- no straight screwdriver is not something you see often. Do you usually have one with you, or was the philips kept as much for structure as it was for function?

And does it have a name.

Hi ironraven - actually the inline philips was the most important thing to me, along with the blade, pliers and magnifying glass. I'll probably swap in a combo tool for the small blade if I find myself one.

In my mind, I think of this as a cross between a Mechanic and a Scientist - so I call it "Experimenter", or maybe "Experimentalist"  or "Practical Scientist" or maybe even "Yeomechanic" - any opinions?

It's been in my back pocket for a few days now, and it still needs to get thinner. Maybe drop the scissors. Before cellphones, a Champ used to occupy one of my front pockets. Now any SAK needs to occupy my back pocket else it scratches the phone.
I used to carry a Swisschamp every day, until the world became a much easier place to live in

I finished mine but as I measured it by a pair of spare liners and not the whole SAK, they are a bit too small, I'll have to do another pair.

That's great. Is the combo tool swappable with the small blade and thats it? Still of 2 minds removing the scissors.. sigh.

BTW, where do you get the brass tubes? Been recycling the ones that come with the knives, but I don't have a lot of those..
