EDIT: Oh this is bugging me nowMaybe mod is a word in its own right and therefore mods is correct without the 'It certainly appears here as Definition 3 of mod – although it is labelled as informal !http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/modIt does not appear in my old hardcopy ‘Oxford English Dictionary’

Yeah I always wondered why the Compact with less tools cost more then some SAKs with more.

That doesn't seem right. I think mod would be a "clipped form" rather than a contration, like lab or disco, so shouldn't have an apostrophe.http://www.sussex.ac.uk/informatics/punctuation/apostrophe/contractions

My first attempt at an alox mod. It's a Pioneer X with the Syph-style inline Phillips + 2 openers layer, and 91mm scissors (nail-nick on the normal side!), and black-with-red-shield scales from a Pioneer.I made a few mistakes and I'm not 100% happy with the results - but it works and it was a good learning experience. The action on the phillips and scissors are a bit rough, and the phillips sits a little higher than I'd like.

Hi Everyone,Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm from Indonesia and had been a lurker for a while. Just recently registered. I'm a novice at SAK mods. I finally took the plunge and tried modding a few months back based on useful information derived from this forum.Attached are mods I've done so far. Planning to do more mods in the future. Cheers.

Cheers.Welcome jaya - Very nice work there. You have good taste too. Did you make the orange scales yourself?I have a real soft spot for the Explorer chassis and my 2 modded EDC's are a Woodsman and a Passenger but with the small blade replaced by an in-line awl in both cases.WP_20160718_001 by magpie2112, on Flickr
Been looking at doing a similar alox mod. Personally can't do away with scissors and in-line phillips. Can anyone point me to details on the in-line phillips/openers combination layer? Thanks.
