hey those LOTTAS´s were really helpful women in war, they took care of wounded, did watched to skies for enemy aircraft, operated phonelines, and eventually bit of fighting too although they didnt have to,but for self defence when the evil eastern came knockin door on their posts.
still some LOTTA members were looked badly after war for long time and now even, cause they were taken as some right wing group, and many lottas got rid of their (now) precious medals, uniforms etc.
they were kinda part of the movement called SUOJELUSKUNTA,a group that was formed from some voluntary groups, that secretly made their way to germany,to get proper military training, and later after many phases they were the roots of our army taht we still have.and during the 1918 war the one that were traided in germany, lead the finland to victory over those finns who wanted us to become kinda member of russia......i had my ancestors in both sides,in execution squads,in frontlines, but also on the "red" side too, they were mostly shot on scene and on prison camps.
