I can assure you the black oxide finish is superb. LM BO holds up better than any paint.

I'm hesitant to order one as they show the old style locks in their pic. I would of course want the newer locks if I were to buy one and I'm not going to bother to call them and stump the clerk to find out  ::)

Yeah I saw that too.  Wonder what's the deal with them taking the out of retirement and selling BO only  :think:

I ordered and received one from the site about 3-4 weeks ago.  So yeah -  Timmy must have found a stash of them under his big pile of money.

Well, I looked at some other Blasts that I have, and I can see two styles.  One style of lock is straight on the sides, and the other flares out just a little on the textured portion where your finger presses.  The BO Blast that I recently got from Leatherman has the latter flavor.  The two styles are very similar in execution, though.  I'll post a pic if that doesn't make sense.

I really have been beating myself up over ordering one or not. I mean I have a Rebar which I use and probably would not use the BO Blast, but I just feel like if I don't get the BO Blast now I may never find a NIB one at a decent price again.  :think:

That's the problem, it's too easy to get one.  However if it was a "one day only sale" we'd be all over them.

I kind of agree. If it was a one day sale they would of sold a lot, but not nearly as many as they have "in stock" right now and they just need to get rid of the old stock. They will only become less and less available with time since they have been discontinued.
