Hi all!

I have yet to see this discussed on these forums, and checking the LM website, it's not listed in their product line up. Talking with sawman, he had no idea these existed either.

I first saw these offered on Amazon, but was leery if they were legit as comments left from buyers had complaints that they ordered the black version, only to receive the silver one. Some even returned the silver thinking the seller made a mistake, only to receive the silver one again.

After some research, I found a reputable site that carried it in their inventory. I even called to verify it indeed was in black oxide.

Just thought I'd post about it here and let other forumites know these do exist and give you all something else to hunt for to add to the collections.  :D

I've been toying with getting the extender in black as well, but until I find I need the extender in execution, I think I'll keep it on the "maybe one day" list for now.

Again, buying on Amazon has proven to be a gamble for buyers. I recommend doing your own research and finding a reputable online dealer that carries it. I purchased mine from knifesales.com. It was cheaper from opticsplanet.com but I read too many negative reviews in general about the site for me to go with them to save the $5.

Eh, did you mean knife-sales.com?  If so, do you mind telling *where*?  Cuz I cannot find... ::)

Thx.

I honestly can't remember what I paid for mine. IIRC it was a little less than that but I got stainless.

Anyhow, I'm glad you finally found one :tu:

I never said it was cheap.

I wanted one in black to match my Rebar, so I got one. Don't hate.  :D

The week I made my purchase, I couldn't find any on EBay.

I didn't realize the elitist attitude over a $6 savings. Just saying.  ::)

My apologies as I didn't mean anything by my comment, nor any disrespect.  Definitely wasn't thinking of hating nor was I believing that I was engaging in elitist behavior.  So, it's a mix up as far as I can see.  I was thinking of a number of things - here, let us number them:

1] My pea brain which is going to cause me to purchase this item, even though the one I have in SS is probably fine.
2] The price was close to LM's on their website, which seems a bit much to me.  Usually [or am I thinking of before prices jacked up generally for LM stuff?] prices are LESS than LM's site.
3] My pea brain again as I'm telling myself to not buy said item, but then I bought the BO Bit Driver Extender, right?  So, I can't leave him/them without their BO Removable Bit Driver brother.  Right?
4] WHY am I like this and what's wrong with me?
-and-
5] I'm as dumb as a box of hair - sometimes.  OK; clearly 50% of the time.

Hope that clears things up.  Have a nice day.
