anodized Ti.
on: July 22, 2014, 01:07:19 AM
Tada!

thanks to some kind help from Syph007,  my Charge TTi is now super sweet!

the cheap camera I have cannot capture the actual appearance, I even took a video to try to help display it, and that was no good.

these three photos will have to do, they are the best out of the 50 or so I took, trying unsuccessfully to capture the eye candy that is back to being my EDC MT.

The Charge AL goes back in the drawer, a great Tool, but I love the recessed screws on the TTi, and the simple awesomeness that it is

If I can help, let me know

Can't help you there, I gave into that temptation in about ten seconds.

The hacked Rebar ended up being awesome and I love it. But I would like a factory stock one for reference.

If only there was enough cake to go around.  :)

Well...that means you will need to find another Rebar.  :pok:  :pok:  :D

I have one similar from Texas Toolcrafters. The anodization is subtle much like yours.

Its hard to take pics of anodized Ti as it looks kind of different which each angle.  It does look really nice in person, my pics below are what I took before I shipped them back, and they still look better in person than I was able to capture.

It took me all of 5 minutes to color these.  Most of that was bending some Ti welding rod to the right shape to hold all 4 pieces.

Nice to see it back together!

looking at your photos, the color seems even more subdued than it is.  when I opened the package, they looked deep in color.  then my pictures look light again

well, even if I am the only person who gets to enjoy them, so be it!     :ahhh

thanks again Syph

If you get the voltage just right you can get a blue/purple/bronze. Colour flip effect. Very eye candy.

Yep, noticed how these are difficult to photograph...and they do change colour depending on lighting, etc.

Nice work Syph007.  :salute:

Seeing this makes me want to play with some high voltage!!  >:D   I won't, but I'd like be able to try doing multi color scales on my TTi.
