From 1996 to 2013 I had 3 alox knives. Then they hit their teens and starting breeding like rabbits.

This will be the last couple pics I take of this awesome alox.
Posted just to tease the new owner. I hope they love it as much as I do.
Without a doubt the best alox I've had and I will miss it.

Sorry but they are just a fun hobby that keep me out of trouble .
I don't make many and those that are spare are gifted to friends and relations .

Thanks guys .
Since that first pic was taken I've fine tuned the retention lanyard and come up with this idea instead of just a knot .






The sheath has enough retention to hold the knife nicely without the lanyard fastener , but it is a great backup against accidental lose .

Very nice.  It has a belt loop by the look of how it is sitting? Has it been made opposite to "normal," with skin side in?

Yes to both questions  :)

It has a belt loop and it sits vertical on your belt .
I realise that I don't have a pic of the back , so will take a couple and post them up .
It is Rough Out so hard use won't scuff it up .
Rough Out is old fashioned and was used in the " old days " for leatherwork that was used hard and is a method that seems to have fallen out of fashion .
The modern world has been seduced by " shiny " things :) , but we could learn a few things from the old timers .
