I received my Edelweiss purple Cadet, and I am really disappointed in Victorinox repeating editions which were limited to 50 pieces. Lots of people disagree with me on this, but repeating colors decreases desirability and value for older, genuine pieces. Anyways, the 2012 purple Cadet is darker, but only on the back side, which is odd, but see for yourself:

I agree with you, but back when I was buying those colors I knew there was a chance this would happen. Still bums me out though.

I've seen some better photos and it looks a bit different in color.
It could just be the lighting but I'll check when mine arrive soon.
