What's the significance of the 4 lines inside the Knife?

One line for each element that the SAK has conquered: earth, wind, fire, water.

I just woke up, I really don't know but thought it was worth the guess

I have no idea. Judging by how precise and symmetrical these lines are I guess they were made by some machine during production.

What knife is that? Maybe send Victorinox an e-mail? They are very helpful.

The ones you got from me? I checked 6 of my alox SAKs last night; 2 Ranchers and 4 Pioneers.

Turns out both Ranchers and one Pionneer have these marks on the shield scale next to the bottle opener. I had never seen this before, honestly. Probably because my two users that I clean regularly don't have these.

I believe this has to do with manufacturing processes and is irrelevant of SAK model since it appears on different models on the same spot. Also, if that's the Electrician Plus I sent you then we have a large time frame because that one has the older VSSR tang stamp, used until 2005, while the stamp on all of mine reads VSMS, used from 2005 till now.

This may be an interesting little find. I suggest you contact Victorinox and see what they say.

However, if you're not happy with these SAKs for some reason PM me to arrange for their repatriation and a refund.  :)

Are you sure the marks are in the knife?

Ring tailed 98 Soldier  :D

Why are keyrings so much cooler on knives that normally don't have them, like Electricians, Harvesters, Soldiers, etc?

Good one Cali!  :tu:
