I'm not even sure what to think of this thing.  It's just massive, ridiculously large.

So, who feels like strapping 1/3 lb of watch to their wrist day in and day out?

Silly, IMO.  There are several good techniques for using a handgun and flashlight at the same time, and a number of good flashlights available for the purpose.  Interesting example of how two things that are nice to have separately (a watch and a decent flashlight) don't necessarily benefit from being combined.

+1

What surprised me a little is surefire seemed to take pride in 'tactical' lighting instruments, and even has institute for teaching low light tactics, but now coming out with this product...I am no expert in low light combat, but don't seem to make too much sense to me.  Especially it weights almost like a MT, and only chargeable by micro USB...

Just read the article and saw the video on the site - I admit, I understand why someone thought of this, but I don't understand how it actually made it into production. Who in their right mind, would carry such a huge device on their wrist all day, when they only use the full functionality of it 5% of the time?
Personally, I'd stick with my current watch and get a proper cap-light instead; the requirements of a police officer or military personnel is very likely to be different, but I have a hard time believing that this watch is going to be standard issue or recommended equipment.

I'm going to make the assumption that Surefire/Luminox are angling for... uh, "lifestyle" sales and not specifically professionals.

  • Oxygen and magnesium toghether?! OMg!
That's not a watch, it's a handgun stabilizer. It's weight balances off the recoil.

 :D :tu:

I think you are missing the point, that would pair perfectly with the gerber "ding dong" breaching tool on your back, add a minigun on your hands and you have the full terminator kit

Well, I mean I guess you could take the watch off and bludgeon someone with it in an emergency.  That's useful, right?
