Hello MT.O'ers,
I never make posts like this on any media venue, but due to it being close to home, I wanted to help out.
A co-worker of mine named Kim, a sweet bubbly cheerful young woman, received the worst possible phone call on Monday morning.
While she worked, her 4 year old daughter was at home with her father. She received a phone call at work from the local deputies, her car was found abandoned at the foot of the bridge with the hazard lights on.
When she got home to meet the deputies, she walked into an awful site. Her daughter was deceased. The father took his own life via jumping off the bridge.
The total facts from the police are still unclear.
The facts we do know is that Kim walked in to find her daughter dead and her fiance's body was pulled out of the river where he jumped earlier that morning. He is currently listed as a suspect, although we know nothing for certain. I met him and their daughter, and that little girl was his world. I like to think it was a tragic accident and he just couldn't cope with what happened.
In the meantime, her co-workers and I are trying to rally funds together to help get Kim financial assistance in burying her daughter during this tough time in her life.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sophie on a few occasions. She was very fond of singing, and would sing back and forth with you if you joined in. Picking up a lyric where you left off.
RIP Little Sophie
