My friends at MultiTool.org
on: April 24, 2008, 10:18:13 PM
I received a package in the mail a couple of days ago but couldn't think of what I had ordered. Now I order a lot of stuff but I keep a pretty good idea of what I have on the way. This one had me thinking that is was something that was on backorder and I had forgotten about it.

I saw FVEAP on the return address and thought that that sure seems familiar. I opened the package and there were two beautiful silver alox SAK's in it and a card with a picture of a kitten on it that said "smile". The note on the card said "These are from your friends at MultiTool.org-Thanks for your generosity"

What can I say? Thanks just doesn't seem enough. I've been working so much that I have been absent from the forum quite a bit lately. It really made me feel really good to know people are still thinking about me.

So I give a great big thanks to my friends at MultiTool.org, you guys are the BEST!

One last thing, and I may be being dumb here, but one of the knives is a Wenger Soldier and the other seems to be a Vic Farmer but it also has a file in it. I don't recognize that model, what is it?

Thanks again,

Calvin

I'm glad you like them mate.  :)

Nothing really compares to the giveaways that you did, but this is just a small token of our appreciation.

You're right, it's something I didn't have 4 of! Now that's hard to do, but you guys pulled it off and I couldn't be happier. When I dream tonight I'm going to show them to Paris. She is going to think I am SO cool. 8)

I was going crazy trying to find out what that "Farmer" was. I was looking all over Tim's site thinking "I can't be this dumb", where/what is it?

Then I started thinking "did these guys get me a custom SAK?" I can't believe you guys did that, but then again I can believe it. You guys are really special and it shouldn't surprise me that you could be so thoughtful.

I'm sorry it took me a couple of days to thank you but I couldn't think of what to say. Then I thought back to some of the first words I saw micky d post, "we're cavemen here you know". I couldn't wait any longer so I figured a simple "thank you" would be best understood by you "cavemen". :D

Excellent!  Great idea guys.

You're gonna love that Scibeer custom I'll bet.  Be sure to take a close look at those pretty hand-hammered rivets.

Wow, I just took a close look at those rivets. Beautiful! Really great work.

I forgot to mention, I thought the dogs (mainly that Binger) had got a hold of the knives. I had opened the package and was playing with them but was so tired that I fell asleep on the couch. i woke up and the package was gone and I found it outside all torn up with no knives in it! :ahhh

I'm looking everywhere for these knives and can't find them. I'm just hoping that they/she just tore up the package and carried the knives off somewhere. They/she have done this before and although have torn up shipping packages and knife boxes, they/she have never actually chewed any knives.

Then I retraced my steps, thinking where were the knives when I last saw them? I was laying on the couch playing with them when I got tired and fell asleep. Sure enough there they were, safe and sound, between the cushions on the couch! Wow, what a relief. The card has a couple of fang marks on it but otherwise is in good shape. I really have to be more careful keeping things away from Seven and the Binger (main suspect). >:D  She is just so darn cute and friendly it's hard to get mad at her. If I wasn't gone so much they might not be so destructive. ::)

I know I'm experiencing deja vu reading this.  I swear you have a prior post that reads nearly identical to this one!

It has happened at least one other time. I think the one you are talking about is the time they/she got hold of 2 red alox Farmers. I found those outside covered with dew, torn package and boxes all over the place.

Thanks guys. That was one of the purposes of the giveaways, to give a wide variety of things. Some practical, some kind of odd. I figured if you guys couldn't find use for some of the stuff, your family and friends might.
