My only issue with the original Wave...too many flat screwdrivers.
A little Leatherman information.

Who ever keeps making flat head screws out there needs to be stopped.!

Well I didn't know where best to stick this, but since I started this thread, it's going here :)

I now have (at least)one of every LM model released before the year 2000:

Now a few stipulations...I know there are many, many variations on most or all of those, I just have 1 of each.  Also, a couple were made after 1999, so I may still be looking for older versions of a couple of these.  But after getting the Crunch and the Flair, it felt like some kind of milestone.  So I came here to ramble about it :D

Nice looking collection! Viewed like that, the Wave was quite a departure in style for Leatherman from the box form of the Super Tool and the other tools.

Looks great.  Any plans on getting anymore BO tools other than your Blast and Fuse?

I also really like the Old Wave but Chako summed it up ( too many flat drivers ).  I like how slim it is and well I guess the nostalgia of the tool.

You are off to a great start.

Well I'd like to get a BO Kick to round out that set.  Other than that, might look for BO versions of models I don't have yet (BO Surge comes to mind), but that's more on the "long term" list.

That would be cool to get a BO Kick definitely.  I started with all retired models first ( still have a few to go ) then moved on to variations ( this is where the hunting really begins ).  PST collecting is the most interesting and since there were so many produced "easiest" to come by.  Good you dont mind bringing tools back to life since that pretty fun too.

This may be my favorite part of it so far.  And focusing on the retired models makes sense.  I started getting some retired ones for the purpose of collecting, but I really like using them :)  So I'll have to keep some duplicates of the more common ones (PST/PSTII) so I don't feel bad using/carrying them.

Haha, first of all, thanks, and welcome to the forum!

Secondly, hide your wallet! ;)  In all seriousness, it's kind of in my nature to become obsessive and jump in to a new interest/hobby.  So while this might seem a little crazy, it kind of fits me :D

You should start a thread in the New Member Forum and tell us about yourself and your MTs, so we know how to help you spend your money ;)
