Bucket list music concerts :) ???
on: November 03, 2014, 02:49:54 PM
Last Saturday I went to see Lacuna Coil in concert an I've got to say they were amazing!!! It was just the thing I needed to lift me as my Nan died Thursday :(

Anyway I've managed to see Delain, Within Temptation and now Lacuna Coil so can cross them of my bucket list, but that still leaves...

Nightwish
Nemesea
Garbage
Flowing Tears
Appocolyptic
Indica and
The Foo Fighters

Anyone else working through a musical bucket list ???

I don't have a bucket list per say, but I have gradually gotten chances to see most of the bands I've loved growing up, with a few exceptions and a bucket load of more current ones.

In recent years I've finally had the chance to see Obituary and Voivod (with Blacky, but without Piggy... RIP).

A few I have yet to see but would like to:

Amorphis
Dan Swano (Solo, Nightingale, Edge of Sanity, whatever...)
Textures
Death (sadly I'll never see them with Chuck... RIP)

I would have liked to have seen Alissa White-Gluz in The Agonist, but she's in Arch Enemy now. Wouldn't mind seeing both with their new singers, sadly I think Alissa's classic training is not going to be used in Arch Enemy (A band I've seen LOADS of times when Angela Gossow was with them).

Ah yes, I've seen them a couple times, think there's a euro tour coming soon/in the new year, hoping they'll come close so we can catch them again!

Guessing I already pointed you to our local act Diabulus in Musica? They really are quite good

Nice thread.

I saw Apocolyptica supporting Rammstein on the Reise Reise Tour and they were good, but they were supporting Rammstein so........

My list is; Tool (again)
              Mastodon (again)
              Opeth (again)
              Dandy Warhols (again)
              James
              Twin Zero
              Earthtone9
              Suns of the Tundra
              A Perfect Circle (again)
              Auf Der Maur (again)

Also, in a fantasy land, I'd love to see Bon Scott era 'DC, Black Sabbath around 'Master of Reality' era, Jimi Hendrix, and The Sabs again on the 'Heaven and Hell' tour.

I saw REM at Live8 in London.
Afterward we began backpacking across Europe. While in Rome we were caught in a downpour and ran into a little restaurant for lunch. A strange version of Simon & Garfunkle's 'Sound of Silence' came on (dance style) and I was dancing silly in my chair. I looked across the room and made eye contact with someone doing the exact same thing- it was Michael Stipe. We had a good chat with him- told him how much we loved their performance. It was nice.

And on a side note I would LOVE to see SOAD. They're one of my favourites.

Yay! Brilliant - I saw her supporting APC with her first solo album -fantastic band leader. Great pedigree too; Hole and the Smashing Pumpkins.

Not many bands left on my bucket list, I've seen most of the bands listed here live, some several times. I used to go to A LOT of concerts and musical festivals all over Europe. But for some reason Foo Fighters always were either too far away or I couldn't go when they were relatively close by.
