I got a nice little paracord bracelet, a Fisher Army Space pen (one I'd been looking at getting, actually), and a nicely oxidized (how do you properly spell patina'ed? Can you use it as a verb) Maartini fixed blade. Heh, I gave one away and received another one in return.

St. Nikolaus, who brings presents on December 6th in my country, told me Grathr received a little something, too.

What I got from Thomas/Lowtech was theese things  that might look simple at first glance,  but really isnt. :

The SAK is a manicured Mini Farmer.
Why have I never heard of that before, you might think. Thats because it is a Lowtech Custom with lanyard!
The compass is perfect for me at work as a construction engineer, as I often need to orient drawings of future projects out in the terrain. Its already in my jacket pocket.
There was also a capsule on the chain, but I lost it in the car opening it.
When I find it I will use it to carry a allergy pill on my keychain.

That's a relief! It took slightly more than 3 weeks and you are not that far away, neither we had any customs.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Now 4 to go.

Woohoo! The parcel I sent has made it to the right city!

And it's been delivered.  I hope it got to the right place.

A big box from bmot was waiting for me when I got home from work tonight, very securely wrapped in lots of gaffer tape.  When I finally got into it, here's what I found:



A Belgian chocolate MTO (punctuated with a 2013 challenge coin), a folding cup with lid, fridge magnet bottle opener, a Vic Secretary, a Leatherman Super Tool ( ), a Light My Fire firesteel and a Tank007 PA01 torch.  Oh, and some more chocolates (I didn't take a picture of those as I would have had to open the bag to photograph them properly and I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be any left by tomorrow...).  Loads of really nice gifts - my 20 month old son has already nicked the torch and wandered around the house shining it everywhere, and my wife and I had a little accident with the chocolate letters:


To be fair, they had broken in the post so there just happened to be some bite size pieces just sitting there.

There are a Tiffany Tiffany 1837™ Sterling silver Swiss Army Knife and a Leatherman Charge Del Ray 25 years in 18K gold, together with some edible stuff (some truffles, Zasavica Special Nature Reserves, a gold jar of Almas Iranian caviar, a kgr of Saffron from Kozani, a 7kgr piece of Albarragena Jamon Iberico de Bellota, a bottle of 1986 Henri Jayer Richebourg Grand Cru, Cote de Nuits, and a bottle of 1927 Vinho do Porto to help him shallow).
