Love alox, love my nylon too, but prefer cellidor.

Cellidor is almost candy like. Shiny, smooth, and evocative of my youth. In black, cellidor is just plain sexy. Cellidor has the same vintage plastic appeal as bakelite.  Like the knobs on my old tube radio.. tactile plastic perfection. Not many plastics are appealing like that.  Cellidor is one of a very few.

Scale tools are also something I miss on alox.

I've always like just the standard sak, but ever since I moved up to a alox, I like them better. Grant it you loose out on the toothpick and tweezers, but why you carry two SAK's! JR

Alox for sure, but I miss the extras (and the backside tools...) but how about Alox with T+T?

Very nice!  Now there at least two of these floating around.

Cheers!

Why are translucent scales getting so little love? :(

I voted "Other" as though I love my Pioneer, I usually carry either a Spartan or a Climber  :climber: and I swap out all my scales on users with either Black or Red Nylon scales. Nylon just looks better, more durable, doesn't show all the scratches and dings and feels better in the hand.

I need to take a few pictures! :D

Oh, I love those too.

They're all awesome.

Definitely alox for me.  Aesthetics, durability, and feel are superior to the normal scales.  I do at times miss the toothpick and tweezers, so I carry a Rally on my keychain.

Alox and nylon scales foreva' :D

Some Plus nylon scales would be nice though.
I'm sorry, I didn't state the reasons for my preference of alox and nylon scales.

Both these options are durable (alox wins here) and grippy (nylon gets this one). Also, I like the way plain silver alox scales look and there's something about that dark red of the nylon scales that I really like. Cellidor looks and feels great and it's resilient enough but, for me, it doesn't lend itself for making great knife handles, just classy ones.
