Can't you send the Solitaire in for replacement?
It wouldn't really be worth it.. You can buy a brand new one for only $5 bucks!
I have an AA and AAA and never use them because of there poor output in comparison to my others.
No, I only have the standard bulb. I am hoping to stick a hotwire kit in the AA one day.

I am pretty happy with my NiteIze and TerraLux upgrades as well. But, in this day and age- I'd rather carry around a Fenix or a SureFire..

If you are thinking about getting a light from Fenix then you should start with an E01 and build up from there.. At least that's what I would do.. But the L2D is another great first light.. When in doubt, buy both!

Man I don't need to get hooked on lights too But I have always like the bright siny things
Most people seem to generally go for black and drab dark colours though. Is that solely because of tactical & camouflage concerns or is there another reason?
Hey, what's wrong with Mags? Show me another brand of flashlight that's EMP-proof.

There's nothing wrong with Maglites--they do their job well, but there are much better products available from a durability and performance standpoint.
