It must be a sign of age but I'm valuing T&T more and more these days. But Ti scales on a Yeoman? It must be Christmas  :tu:

I could live with any option.
But damn! I was nearly done deciding what 93mod I need, now you come along with 91 scales.
All those options will drive me crazy!  :ahhh

I've got really nothing to add, I just wanted to look at the scales again.

I voted No T&T with barrel and screw. Nice and simple, easy to add different layers later on if one wishes to.

T&T would be nice. I'd take rivets over screws, only because i have no plans to take the thing apart.

but either way, I'd sign up for a Ti version of a Super Tinker.

Scratch that. Sign me up for a Deluxe Tinker with a corkscrew instead of a phillips.

Im working on getting one together to show off.  I wanted to try to cut a little + brass piece and hammer it into the opening.  It might be more work than its worth but I figure if that gets sanded down flush and polished it should pop!

Just a question. How would you do pivot screws on the back tools? There's not much metal there   any way I agree with most. T&T are the way to go!
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

I guess the scales are thick and rigid enough to allow for a hidden pin for the backtools?!

Yep the 4th pin is hidden, I just use a liner as a template to set the position, and drill with my mill leaving 0.050" of metal at the bottom which is plenty.

For drilling out the back tools to use the pivot, I was worried about that, but my prototype 91mm alox was built that way and it worked no problem.

I'm probably the closest, about a 20 minute drive away. But, I detest chores as much as the next person, so it had better be worth my while... ;)

Why do you say that? I've never met Syph. Are you wanting to do his chores and are jealous of my proximity? :)

zoidberg is also jealous, he would live in Syph's shed and build some random SAKs.

And maybe that is why Syph has never invited me to visit, despite having communicated with him in the past...

Ok thanks all!  Luckily on Ti its easy to provide all of the options, as I can countersink the holes then finish the scales.  If they were aluminum to be anodized then Id have to decide ahead of time if I was going to use screws or rivets.

Ive had a job on the books for a long time for a Ti yeomon that Im finally going to be able to make with a set of these.  The fellow wanted a copper body made to hold the mag glass, so that should be fun to figure out. :D

Im working on a set of these today and hopefully will be ready to show today or tomorrow.  And of course I hope they work correctly. :D

That sounds Awesome!  I voted for Screws for easier maintenance, and T&T for the extra tools.  I'd say Pen & Pin would make it even better.
If it could be a Ti Explorer Plus, with a metal mag glass holder I'd be hounding you to make one for me too.
Definitely keeping tabs on this thread.
