I don't have the box. the quality seems very high everything moves very smoothly and precisely, which is normal for SOG tools I understand. but I don't know how to tell by looking at it. do you? let me know what to look for and I will be happy to let you know. otherwise it just seems to be a very nice tool that is hard for me to let go except it is a little bigger than what I was wanting. thanks

Like you said, quality will seem very high. Also the tooling is better on the US version and the ruler markings and the SOG logo is tooled way deeper, more pronounced and bigger, like on yours.

I want to be, but I need another Power lock like I need a whole in the head. That and I am a little low on funding. I hope somebody does grab it. That is a good price for a Power Lock.

I hear you. looks like you were right. I looked around a little after you posted and saw what you meant. the ones made in Taiwan but assembled in the US have sog smaller and in 3 places while the ones actually made in the US have just the one deeply engraved sog front and center. of course I am willing to stand corrected if someone knows better. that is just what it looked like from a brief look around the web. :D

Also the US made one's handles themselves are made better. On top of the handles by the plierhead have nice crisp bends. The other ones tend to have press marks and seem to be a little off from each other. If that makes sense.
