Nope, first there is the workshop* cleanup project to complete :(  Dull but necessary.

* Workshop is a glorified title for the lean-to at the back of the house. On the bumf that came with the house its actually listed as a conservatory  ::)  Still I thank my lucky stars that I don't have a wife who wants to put a sofa and potted plants in it  :D

I have a corner of our garage, where I've managed to accumulate a pillar drill, belt sander and saw table (pictured before).

It's several inches thick in sawdust at the moment, I really do need to get in there and clean it up.

I got a NIB Mini today. Which makes 3 for me.  I now have 3 different types of Mini boxes. Thought I would post a pic.    I would like anybody who has a different version to do the same.  Just curious as to how many different ones there are.

I have boxes like the bottom two, but not the new one Dennis.

The only Mini I have pre-date codes, came in a bit of a state and unboxed.

Of course, what I really want to see is a Mini with Japan stamped on the blade tang. They must be out there somewhere  :drool:

 :tu: Thanks for the pic Dennis :o I think that the  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh !!!MINI!!! :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh is a great little MT :D I love the BO ones they really are quite unique ;) I also noticed that the first and second plier head are the same but the third one has the LM and the USA swapped very interesting :o I can't tell how it is on the last 1 though :D

The third one is the only one with the LM and USA reversed.  Its the oldest one of the four. Also the only one with no hard wire notch. Also early enough for no date code..

The split ring comes attatched to a small card thats in the box when new.  You just attatch it to the Mini if you want to 8)

I thought that the one that had LM and USA reversed might have been the oldest :salute: thanks for confirming :D

I have one with the split ring - I left it taped to the card as I figured we probably won't see that much anymore.

Dennis - I have a pre date code mini, and it looks identical to yours, I.e. the makings on the pliers are backwards. You'll notice other differences in the pliers too - but yer need to look close!
I used to come here a lot.

I just have 2 that I bought used for $5.00 each at a pawn shop.  Date codes 0800 and 0102.The 0800 has the mame JAY inscribed.  One has a sheath but no ring.Both are perfect. I have no use for them other than historical value. The handles are more comfortable than a PST but there aren't enough tools on them. I have to have a Philips and a real file.
