Thanks  for the link. Some of those were really, really nice. I particularly liked the Acanto though. I like detailed filigree work in general. Not to mention the materials!  Yikes! :o

For some weird reason, I started to imagine what a steampunk line of multitools would lool like after browsing at these. I think it was because of a steampunk mouse I was reading about earlier...

Now that is a drawer queen.

Call me picky, but if I paid $40,000 for that first tool, I would expect it to be unique - not #001/025 as in the pictures.

I used to come here a lot.

The Espejo is very nice. And it's a simple design which I think they could do with their regular tools using regular materials at little additional cost. The polishing would cost more, but a reasonable variant could probably be acheived.

These tools show more than anything that paying attention to the design of the handles can really change the perception of the tool. Especially when they are inlad with gold...  :D

Now that is a drawer queen.

I agree that it would seem to be a shelf queen.

BUT (notice this is a big "BUT"  :D) if you were rich enough to buy a $40,000 multitool I guess you could afford to use it. Think of how rich some people are.

Thanks for the link. I hadn't seen all the different variations that are on offer. Bit out of my price range though ;)

I have a friend who's just got a book deal for his steampunk novels.  He wants me to make him a steam punk SAK, that his main character will then use in the next book.  It should be fun  :)

Swisstools are pretty much the same thing, plus tougher.  :multi:

I could never spend money on a jewelry-grade multi, unless it was a gift for someone else. Just think how much you can do with a thousand bucks!

That's my favorite one as well. But I would afraid to touch it without cotton gloves. Talk about finger prints showing.

Personally, my favorite is the "Trenzada". I love the weave pattern. What I'd love more than all these would be a KF4 with either this weave pattern or a nice scroll pattern (no flowers...).
