Anybody has/used one of them?  They are getting cheaper and look like a decent option for short trips in sunny weather or for just playing.

If your gonna invest in one, I think Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman from Mythbusters got some that were self balancing and electrically propelled. That's the way to do it.

I asked Sunny from SPAMCORP about these and he said they don't work well for climbing sidewalks or roads with potholes, so no real use in my corner of the world.
I think we have like 2 kilometers of straight road without cars, in the whole town...

I wonder if they are toys or whether people actually use them to go to work or shop....
Maybe they are designed for large industrial estates etc.

Some have suspension but they are a lot more expensive, like the Segway.

This has two wheels http://www.SPAMCORP.com/4400mah-Dual-Wheels-Self-Balancing-Electric-Scooter-Drifting-Board-p-958220.html

Still, they are cheaper than a Damascus Victorinox, so they are not so expensive that nobody would buy one to try.

Not ours. Too much rough terrain other than the moorings themselves.

So what colour have you ordered?  :pok: :pok:

I am worried about the weight they can take being a bit on the hefty side. I was waiting for some other victim to try it first... maybe someone that just sold a boat and has lots of extra money...

Someone here just sold a boat to pay for his first overseas holiday in 15 years and clear a few debts. Someone there who seems to be able to travel round Europe quite often would seem a better choice  ;)

I hope you're not going on this boat, it seems to have a string of mishaps:

Not that ship, Tom. Although in my experience, all vessels have a continuous string of mishaps :D

Yes. I'm not sure I'd want to be cramped on to a floating hotel with no means to escape the smelly hordes, but each to their own  :tu:

Your post count is rather good at the moment:

 :tu: Hadn't realised I'd breached 9k  :D

I've paid a bit extra for a balcony cabin, so I have somewhere to retreat to if necessary  ;)
