IIRC Pyramids was the first book I ever bought for myself with my own money and I have loved and read his stuff ever since.  He will be sorely missed. :salute:

Very sad loss,i didnt know he had dementia,i work with elderly with severe dementia and know how bad this illness is,R.I.P sir Terry  :salute:

The BBC will probably repeat his documentary about his Alzheimers. He was very forthright about it and did a lot of good in highlighting it as a growing social issue.

Well worth a watch.

The Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia is one of my charities of choice. Dementia hits close to home for me.

Trust me if people knew how bad dementia gets most of us would be willing to pass away much earlier, sorry my humble opinion, sadly i see a side of it most dont,its a terrible illness, and makes people do things that they never would of,i hope they find a cure but personally i feel we are living to long these days,we are out living our bodies, :-\

 :tu: after 15years looking after people with dementia and of course a high level of training you  pick up on it quick,its a very sad illness, my nan had it for 20 years, it was horrible seeing such a proud lady become what she did  :-\
