Mounting large pen blade on opposite end of 84mm Victorinox?

Unlike the 93mm Alox which is more symmetrical, the 84mm have a pronounced large end and smaller end. Can the large pen blade of the 84mm be made to pivot on the large end? Perhaps leaving the back spring in place and only moving the large pen blade?

Well, I finally got my first 84mm apart and I think I can answer my question with an absolute... "I don't think so, but I could be wrong."

I think a pen blade from a 91 works. Just enlarge the hole
