I knew the only 2 issues I had with an OHT was the saw length, and the lack of pocket clip. The saw length I can get over....But the clip? No way.Well after taking the post/screw out I knew for a fact I couldn't go with a normal leatherman removable picket clip, it either wouldn't allow blade deployment or it would interfere with the blade pivot because the scales on an oht are simply pressed sheet metal and are nowhere near simple and thick. Well I grinded the lock tab off a BO kick clip that I just-so-happened to have arrive on the same day. Works "okay," as some of you may have noticed, without the tab the clip would rotate. And it does. But not easily. It actually allows me to rotate the clip, and open the sliding slicer fairly easily. Tomorrow or the next day I will go shopping for a flared screw that might compensate for the space between the clip and the recessed hole in the scale. Nicely done ! It looks like a good thing that it can swivel. I wonder if you could put a thin nylon washer on there to keep the clip from scratching off the coating on the handle ?
Nice mod, I might try something similar
Do you mean it is too short?
What about a washer under the head then?
