Now that knife will be good for well longer than you'll be on the planet.  Which is either a nice or depressing point, depending how you look at it

I have been waiting for a little while to try out some more Micarta

I wanted orange for one or two projects but Hi Viz jacket material is very thin so you need a lot of it and it takes too much time to lay up
So I ordered some felt (for making toys) from Fleabay (I read on another forum after ordering its not great for micarta    )

Some garden secateurs, very easy to loose 



Its not so orange in real life and its hard to see in this picture but it has a kind of slightly mottled antique look
I'm not sure if it will be too smooth or how its going to hold up in the future

Its going to get tested on Thursday,
I will be able to see how tough it is and if its too slippery   

I can see more Orangy things in the future  (just as soon as I have bought some more resin  )

Good first result I think..

Synthetic neon orange canvas that turned out a bit thin....sandwiched between 2 layers of denim

Red Bull Denim......very nice, made new scales for a cheap DOW knife from this.

Many colours......cotton swill

......with the inspiration: CRTK Endorser

Just to make sure - the CRTK is my inspiration, not the end result.

I'm not 100% with the arrangement of the layers and the colour combos, so I'm busy fitting the multi-colour Micarta to a UC Black Ronin Ninja machete.....  What can I say, it's a fun toy, and cheap 

I'll post some pics of the results in the Mod section, and I should be making the cream micarta for a meat cleaver re-handle this weekend.
