An excellent rehandle job Tony.  That looks ready for action.  Will you be letting the girlfriend take it to work? ;)

Now that knife will be good for well longer than you'll be on the planet.  Which is either a nice or depressing point, depending how you look at it :D
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I have been waiting for a little while to try out some more Micarta

I wanted orange for one or two projects but Hi Viz jacket material is very thin so you need a lot of it and it takes too much time to lay up
So I ordered some felt (for making toys) from Fleabay (I read on another forum after ordering its not great for micarta   ::) )

Some garden secateurs, very easy to loose  :ahhh

Its not so orange in real life and its hard to see in this picture but it has a kind of slightly mottled antique look
I'm not sure if it will be too smooth or how its going to hold up in the future  :-\

Testing ahead  :tu:

How did I miss this.

Very cool work, Tony. And it seems you polished up the whole tool in the process. :tu:

Good first result I think..

Synthetic neon orange canvas that turned out a bit thin....sandwiched between 2 layers of denim

Red Bull Denim......very nice, made new scales for a cheap DOW knife from this.

Many colours......cotton swill

......with the inspiration: CRTK Endorser

Thanks  :D

Just to make sure - the CRTK is my inspiration, not the end result.

I'm not 100% with the arrangement of the layers and the colour combos, so I'm busy fitting the multi-colour Micarta to a UC Black Ronin Ninja machete.....  What can I say, it's a fun toy, and cheap  :D

I'll post some pics of the results in the Mod section, and I should be making the cream micarta for a meat cleaver re-handle this weekend.
