Today i sorted out all the retired Leatherman multitools.
Besides about 40 old Waves, 30 New Waves, 30 Supertools in various boxes, i also have a box marked 'Various'.
Digging down to the bottom i discovered some golden oldies in very bad condition, and decided to rebuild some of them, just for fun.
This is a PST model from the mid-eighties, it had a broken pair of pliers and all inside tools were heavily damaged and clunked up with crud.
After dissassembly it turned out that only the handles and the file were salvable.
Luckily i still have a good supply of PST parts from various periods, so i could replace the pliers and the items necessary.
This is the result, an almost completely new PST model.

I also found 5 Sideclips in various stages of decomposition, but after dissassembly, cleaning & scavenging as well as a little help from my supply of new Sideclip parts i could rebuild 2 of them to like new condition.
Both have used knives that are freshly sharpened by me.
As you can see in the pictures, one is a newer model.
