EDC-Lineman Pliers?

I see that the TL-29 in numerous versions is still in production. Does anybody around here carry a set of lineman pliers?

Carpenter pants. My lineman rides the side pocket nicely when I need to use it.

If funds allow, why not go the custom route? Have someone sew the perfect holster for your favorite knife and pliers combination? Perhaps forumite Metropolicity can make something?

I made ONE prototype with similar carry capacity, but it was way too hard to make efficiently. However, I am working on some longer Skinth products so some shorter vice grip/linesman/crescent wrench carry is possible.

That's what I do too. With all longer tools I carry when I need them

I don't really have a need for EDC. Though only time I need them is if I'm working in a panel, or pulling an emergency 120VAC circuit or something. I've got the full tool bag and just use the side pocket for convenience during that job.

I guess this is more of an update. I ended up buying a pair of 8' lineman pliers from Harbor Freight yesterday. Price couldn't be beat to try a pair out. Quality seems to be good.

Ive bought all kinds of tools from harbor freight they haven't failed me yet!
