SwissTool Lanyard Changes?

I know that the newer SwissTools have a slot for the corkscrew attachment, and that the older ones just have a circle that the corkscrew won't fit in. My question is, when did this change happen?

This is gonna hurt...

Here's a photo to show what I'm talking about. The old style is the circle, on the right. This won't accept the corkscrew.

Not sure, guesstimating here, but I'd say 2004/2005 with the start of production of the Spirit.
