Anyone else have this issue? Don't have my camera handy, so I'll try to describe - the section of the handles that act as a "sheath" for the blades/file/saw has extremely sharp corners that cut into your palms/your fingers when you have to put pressure on them. When closed, the handles tended to cut into my hands, especially when bringing the arms around to open or close the plier heads.
I spent an hour or so tonight and last night degreasing and lubricating the joints in an effort to try to loosen up the pivots when I bring the pliers out. After about ten minutes or so, I noticed this funny red spot on the Wave - lo and behold, I managed to abrade enough skin with the handles to make myself bleed! Now, it didn't hurt and it stopped soon enough, but I definitely spent the next half hour or more filing those blade guards wayyy down until they were nice and rounded with the metal file off my old PST. Much smoother now, and it doesn't hurt that it takes less force to pry open the Wave now that it's all lubed up.
So, anyone else face this particular problem?
