What's the age and value of my old Vic Ranger.

Hey all, can't remember if I asked this here before but what is the year and value of my old Vic Ranger? My dad bought this in Switzerland in the late 70's early 80's and I just want to know more about it. Thank you for any help!

I really like the Ranger 91mm both new and old.  I have one of each.  I put green plus scales on this one because i bought it with broken scales for 12 bucks.

I would guess yours to be worth around 20 dollars

I would guess between 1983 and 1985.  based on the remear having no eye, the Corkscrew being Flutted, and the Scissors having a screw joint and a V shaped spring.

That's in the right range and for the right reasons. Best you can tell from these pictures is c. 1979 - 1985. Close up of the tang stamp and the awl can tell whether it's a 79-82 or 83-85.

Value? These are pretty common and this one is well used, so it'd go from $15 on eBay (+/- $5).

Thanks for the answers. I plan to EDC it more because the Swisschamp was a little too large and this one has the right amount of tools and weight.

Jazz,

Please explain how these would help. I am very interested in learning to date my knives more accurately.

Thanks.
