Sabre, point or sheeps foot ?

What's the most useful blade shape ?  (I don't know all the proper names but I think these are are the most common)

Im a Sheepsfoot lover , but will settle for a spear , or drop point . I really love Warncliffes , generally don't be off on clip points .

I like a sheepsfoot  but on a MT they seem to always be serrated and I prefer a plain edge blade :-\ A PE blade just seems more useful for me personally ;) :D

Different blade styles for different uses. On a multitool, I prefer a tough beater blade for hacking stuff, so sheepsfoot as well.

Sheepsfoot if I have to choose, but why settle for only one?

Overall, I prefer the spearpoint a la Victorinox and similar shapes. The point width is greater than the clip hopefully preventing tip breakage. The spear also allows it to be used to pierce easily, to be used as a weapon if necessary, and the blade's overall shape allows it to be used as a scoop to hollow out soft materials more easily than the other shapes. I suppose the drop point a la Gerber would have similar assets.

Bill.

I can make do with just about any type of blade, but I prefer a drop point.

A drop point of a stand alone blade, but for a MT I'd prefer a wharncliffe (shame Gerber are the only company that agree's with me ::))

For a Multi i'm not arsed to e honest i like the idea of multis having a PE clippoint like the ST so yeah Clippoint. For a rescue knife however I like a blunt tip serrated blade.

I love a sheepsfoot because you can abuse the tits out of it.

That said, I've nothing against the shape of a Vic (Spear?) and I've been enjoying the Turkish Clip as well.

Love the blades of my Gerber Suspension:
-Wharncliffe plain edge
-Sheepsfoot serrated
Blades don't get any better than that on a multi.

For a general purpose dedicated knife:  either spear point or drop point.
