Thanks, guys. Use my Wave for everything - cutting, screwing, tightening, disassembling, stripping.... Helps me so much more than I even expected.

I love Rebars, but I can never seem to keep mine in one piece. :D

Many thanks to MTo and Leatherman for this giveaway, but I'll leave this prize to someone who will use it in its natural state.

Quite generous! I've always wanted to check out a rebar plier head, but alas; mine has a standard cc plier head haha (not a problem, as it's my only modern lm cc, and I love it), and i won't be entering as that isn't fair to those who haven't seen the lovely toolset! Good luck everyone!

Thanks again for another amazing give away, MTO rocks!!!  I use the wire cutters for cutting bead chain, electricial wire, and whatnot but the most common thing I cut is branches. It works great for snipping small branches.
If it's stupid and it works.....
It ain't stupid.

Rebar GAW! Very generous of ya :tu:
I find most use of the hard wire cutters on bailing wire, cuts like a champ, and THE reason I wanted a rebar. On occasion I've cut chain link fence, tho at first leery of doing so, but the rebar blasted through the job without a second thought!

Another great giveaway, thanks for the opportunity.

I don't use the wire cutters a great deal, but when I need them I love the ones on my Wave. At the end of last year I had to put some barbed wire at the end of my garden, after some little smurf-bag got over my wall and burgled my garage. The Wave held up just fine for twisting the wire, then snipping it (single-strand).

I don't know what made me think of taking these pictures at the time, I must have known they'd be needed at some point, that time has now arrived!

This is a great GAW (thanks to Leatherman and MTO).

I use the wire cutters for household electrical chores, when working with wiring and zip ties on my vintage work truck, and in my everyday job as a horticulturist (working with production of container- and field-grown nursery trees and shrubs).

Good luck to all, and thanks again!

Big thank you to Leatherman Tool Group!

I seem to use my multis most often for cutting wire clothes hangers.  The last time was with my edc Squirt.  Painful, but effective. :D

  • I have too many and not enough.
This is a great giveaway.
I've always wanted a Rebar.
Thanks MT & Leatherman!

I just used the Surge to cut down some cat 5 when I couldn't find the punch down tool.

I used my Juice Pro exclusively to replace the electrical outlets in my house and they did a great job on the solid copper.

Thanks for the opportunity,

I have to cut some rj45 cables from time to time and a pair of coaxial, I use my second hand swistool and it works well over all, some times I help the wire cuters with the main blade for the coaxial at the begining

Thanks for the opportunity as well.

I was a little too broke to afford a modern Leatherman, and that's why I bought the PST II.

I've only had my PST II for about six hours now, and this afternoon, my grandfather and I had to make a repair to the tractor that needed wire.  We've been out of the rebar binding wire for weeks now.   So, I looked around and found a rusty coat hanger and a long piece of fence bracing wire.    I cut the hook out of the coat hanger using the hard wire notch, then straightened it out with the pliers.    Then, my grandfather handed me the piece of fence bracing wire, and told me to cut a badly bent part out of, which the hard wire notch did too.

In most cases, all I have to cut is hardened wire of various thicknesses.

I'm glad you like your PST II. I had an unfortunate experience of the scissors on mine breaking :(

It's in limbo, I have not decided whether to send it to LM or not. I somehow don't think they can fix it.

Thank you for the opportunity with this GAW

I use my Leatherman PST to cut wire hangers for all sorts of various tasks around the house, a hook for this or binding for that.

Occasionally I even cut romex with it...

Hope I am not to late for this GAW.

I used the wire cutter on my PST II mostly on small wires around the house or on paperclips to fashion pins for scale modelling.
Worst thing I ever did with them was trying to cut a small drilling bit. It was only 1,5mm in diameter, but on this day I learned about metal hardness levels...

But the PST suffered only some minor deformations on the cutters, which I could fix with a file. Today you can see a smale dimple, but the cutters work as good as always!

Additional fun fact: I am going to buy a Rebar in the next weeks as a gift for my father. But it would be nice to have a father/son combo then.  ;)

what you use the wire cutters for the most: stranded copper mostly, but occasionally other stuff like galvanised fencing wire, cable ties etc.

what type wire you cut: stranded copper, coarse and fine up to about 3 core 1.5mm^2 is possible with some MTs.

and how your EDC multitool performed so far at the job: I carry a Rebar and it's OK-ish. Not as good as the Wave I had before and the Rebar was a lot better when new. I've cut loads of wire and used the pliers a lot since then, and it tends to just mangle fine stuff now.
