My EDC Lights.
on: August 15, 2015, 02:18:07 AM
I'm starting this thread for the flashlight merit badge. I may not have any cool, awesome flashlights like most of ya'll, but I've had great luck with the LED Maglights and I think they work great for in my Wave and Swisstool sheaths. They fit really well and I keep a stock of AAA's for them.

Thanks for looking.  :climber:

How is the solitaire led? I remember trying to find one when they came out, and I guess I forgot, but I am curious. Mag builds a solid light, and the last place I lived before moving across the country? Ontario, California

Despite owning quite a few other lights I'll always have a soft spot for the 2xAAA mini maglite.  The old incan version was my first quality light and the LED version is surprising good. :)

Super nifty.

Is black a uniform requirement?

I can't stand not finding the light you need in the dark!

Both my maglites are spray painted orange lol

??? Mine was noticeably worse than my Fenix E05 on output, runtime and build quality and survived even less time in my pocket before permanently dying, it got to 5 months I think. Nitecore Tube is the longest surviving so far bizarrely seeing as it's the cheapest and plastic.

I'm not security anymore so I carry a flashlight just as part of my EDC. I work on big Canon copiers so a small flashlight helps.

I put reflective or glow-in-the-dark tape around the ends of my lights :D

I broke down and bought a Fenix LD02 today. Looking forward to adding it to my EDC.

While I don't have that one myself I know lots of folks on the forum do and I can't think any of them have ever had reason to complain.  I'll be interested to hear what you think about it. :)

The LD02 is great. It's going to quickly replace my Maglights.
