My KF4 beater arrived today, and despite the ebay description saying that the "handles show some wear", it's virtually new! There's just one scratch on one of the scales, just light, hasn't even dented the aluminium, otherwise it's like my NIB one.Tools seem unused, not even any scratches on the blades. As a bonus, it has the "USA" drilled out, a variation I didn't already have, so I'm really pleased
Well after seeing all the KF4 threads I had to go and find 1 myself as well It came in the mail today and I am very pleased with it for it's size it packed a wallop I do see how the scissors would make it the perfect MT but it is more than adequate to handle everyday needs I also like the saw the size of it seems fine to me as well I checked it with the saw on my Blast and it is only 1 tooth shorter That really fooled me but I really do like this tool I salute you KF4
The KF4 is probably my favourite legal EDC tool to carry. It really does cover the bases and would be perect with scissors IMHO. I would happily sacrifice the serrated blade, or have a combi one instead as I usually carry a dedicated knife anyway. It's just right for pocket carry too, without excess bulk or weight I am not a fan of yellow in general however, so this broke my usual avoidance of it!
I finally got around to stopping at a tool store that I have been meaning to check out yesterday. I didn't expect much but when I got to their MT case I was surprised to see 3 Kf4's, New In Packaging, hanging from one of the pegs. I bought one yesterday and today I was in the same area so I stopped in and bought the other two. I'm keeping one for myself, one is SPF but the third one is available. If anyone in the US is interested in it PM me. Here is a picture of the one I bought yesterday but the other two look exactly the same. Brand new in packaging. (Image removed from quote.)

Think of it as either Gold or what Leatherman refers to the color as "Solar Yellow". I guess the word Solar makes it sound a more macho yellow.
I'm in 1Jump2Many helped me on my way I believe my membership card is in order If they ever did bring it back it would have to include scissors. I believe its lack of scissors was its eventual downfall I would like to see a pocketclip as well (Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)

Ahem. As president and founder of the KF4 Appreciation Society, I believe it is YOUR job to issue the membership cards.

NOW! For the question. When do we have the "Bra burning/nude-in" protest march at the LM factory!!! KF4!! WE WANT MORE!!!KF4!! WE WANT MORE!!!KF4!! WE WANT MORE!!!
The KF4 does look like the best juice offering. LM has this problem of not thinking outside the box. That's why they discontinued the KF4. They do other dumb things like restricting bit drivers to the Wave/surge/charge/skele line. I want a traditional model with a bit driver in it! Maybe I will start a thread on that.

Don't think outside the box? You're 'aving a larf BlaLeatherman practically invented the genre of the multitool, and have become an industry giant, despite not existing before 1983 - must be all those dumb ideas Apparently, the KF4 just didn't sell as well as the others (which surprises me), but the public voted with their wallets! The bit driver thing is about making you part with your cash I reckon, not so dumb either
