is it worth getting a sharpmaker just to sharpen a victorinox classic? i heard the pocket sharpener leaves jagged edge.

I would say its worth getting a Sharpmaker to have for general sharpening of all your knives. If you have very dull knives you will probably need the diamond stones though. The diamond stones do not come with the sharpmaker and are about $45 - $50.
