I decided it might be nice to record my kayak adventures from a different angle so I rigged up a 2L ginger ale bottle with some candle wax and fishing weights and a Gopro mount. The plan was to tow it behind the boat using 50 pound test line and film us kayaking from a "chas boat."Well, due to a trim problem (apparently Hero2 cameras are not balanced properly) the camera sat on an odd angle, and when pulled behind the boat, slid lower in the water until it was under the water.Still, the few bits of video taken above the surface had potential so I will continue trying to find a way to make it work. I think I just need a better way to float it. I'm thinking cheap toy boat.Def

Not sure if I have the right term.....keel weight? And maybe a little fin on the underside?I done 1000's of hours on my kayak fishing still waters, so you row where you wanna go, and dragging much more than a rope behind the boat is a......drag....
