Tool Idea

I wonder why Leatherman hasn't put out a PS4 sized tool with a static bit holder. It think it would be a great keychain tool even though the torque it could take would be limited.

So, if you were building this tool what would you put on it? I'd put the S4 scissors, and an awl with an extra bit holder. No knife though.

I think that's a great idea, gadgetman. I like the idea of a scissor-head, but the E4 head would be cool, too (I don't like dedicated keychain sized pliers). File, fold out tweezer, package opener, and extra bit storage would be a useful load out for me.

Honestly though, LM needs to put out a more diverse selection of bits. A bottle & can opener bit. Punchdown bits. OTIS adapter bits (could work with a Skeletool style driver that locks the bits in place). Awl bits, as some members have created themselves. They really have only utilized the bit driver for driving purposes - but it could do a lot more.

This. I don't need the scissors, honestly. I like the Micra's tool complement.  A slightly wider body could accommodate pliers.  I'd take this tool over a P4/PS4 any day of the week.

I'd like to see replaceable wire cutters on every model down to the Rev/Sidekick/Wingman.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

Why? I see no benefit putting the tools inside. It just makes the tools slower to access, makes the knife less capable (because of the opposing handle), and reduces comfort in pliers mode.

I'd rather see the Dime upgraded with P4 quality pliers and spring assembly..... oh, and a more durable scissor spring design than is on the Dime and PS4 / Style PS. Outboard set up, better blade, package opener, better bottle opener, replace the tweezers with a toothpick as the pliers shape works great for splinters anyway.... (ignore the pathetic attempt at a file)

That would certainly rule out me ever buying a Leatherman again. I'll take standard pliers every time, but without a compromised main gripping area please
