A tip for Swisschamp owners
on: August 26, 2015, 05:34:18 PM
I just discovered recently that the Leatherman Wave sheath fits the Swisschamp perfectly. SO, that is how I now carry mine, and as for my Rebar, that goes in a cargo pocket.

I'm so happy about this configuration, as it allows me to comfortably carry BOTH tools. :D

And it's a whole heck of a lot cheaper than Victorinox sheaths!

I'd ordered a Wave sheath in advance of getting a PST II, and I found the sheath comfortably carried an old Camillus TL-29 electrician's knife in the back pocket, and my Victorinox Craftsman in the front.  I recently switched to a Mexican-made no-name leather sheath for the Craftsman, and the Leatherman sheath for my original Super Tool, which is usually what I carry for work around the farm.

The PST II was too thin for the Wave sheath, and it's very comfortable for pocket carry, so I typically don't sheath carry it.

I like the bottom row last one.

Me too, but it doesn't look like it'd hold a 'champ.

I just got an old Swisstool survival kit pouch from lowtech, but with no Swisstool  :D It fits the CT41 perfectly (which I'll be modifying soon, but not changing the dimensions).

It needs a little work of a couple of the storage areas as the leather is well worn, and I'll probably tweak the contents somewhat. I've had a few ideas, but I want to see what I can rustle up from my various kits for "upgrading" it.

Once that's done, it'll probably live in the car glovebox with the BG Strata for answering life's little surprises when I'm out and about.

Hey Smaug, how about a mini Champ in a mini pouch.

Plus two more mini pouches for my brace of Managers.
