5 Point Torx Tamper Proof bits

I like to use them to take off the clip on Sideclip.
Where can I find them wihtout buying two whole sets breaking bank?

Have you tried the local hardware store? You can usually find single bits for a few bucks each.

I found some at an auto parts store.  Not a huge selection, but more than the local hardware store had.  It was a set though, and I don't remember how much they wanted for it.

I did heat with a lighter, maybe not enough .....although it was hot to the touch.

Those are sold as a pir, but I don´t know if you can use enough torque with the small handle.

I don't have any spares, but I would be more than happy to loan you my set. :salute: let me know if you'd like to borrow them, and I'll get them shipped down to you. no rush to return them as I rarely work on OG Waves or Sideclips. (although I did do a mod on a new Wave that still had the 5-point screws, but that's another story...)

What do you guys think, would we find enough people not to let the buyer sit on a pile of Torx Bits? Would make 15 pairs, at 35,- initial cost that would be 2,34 per pair plus shipping (I guess another 2,- € if sent unregistered) is that an interesting price and is there any demand anyways?

Actually, if i was to do it, I woul keep 2 sets for eventual postal losses (as those would be sent unregistered). That would raise the price per available pair to about 2,70 plus shipping. To make it an even sum and compensate PP fees and packing tape, let´s say a pair would be 5,- € shipped.

Still interesting? Keep in mind, not an actual offer, but thinking out loud...
