Sidekick Nylon Sheath?

When did Leatherman start shipping the Sidekick with a nylon sheath instead of the all leather one?

I found this today at Walmart and didn't look at it twice until I noticed a nylon sheath.

I ordered a Sidekick from Leatherman directly back in January, it did not come with the leather pouch, only the Carabiner

Detron...I am sure of that.  :rofl:

Kampfer, that is odd. All of mine, albeit purchased when the Sidekick first came out, have a suede leather pouch with a grommet, along with the carabiner.

Last time I bought a Sidekick it did not come with the leather pouch or a sheath or a carabiner. Nothing.

This is the last one I bought and it doesn't have a sheath.  :)

I bought mine from Home Depot last year and it came sans sheath.

i only know the rebar with the standard nylon sheath and the carabiner - didn't know ther was one with leather sheath :think:
multitools for the one leaving nothing undone

FWIW I bought my GF's boys each a LM Wingman to take to college with them and they each came from Amazon with nylon sheaths.
