Quiet on the Swisstool front
on: August 13, 2008, 08:32:47 PM
Its gone a bit quiet on the Swisstool front lately  Maybe I'm too blame a little  :-[ I was offline a while plus I've been testing out the LM Core and Micra . But just so you Swiss fans can sleep easily the good old Swisstool is never far  :D Infact I EDCed it today with a Soldier .

I was wondering were you've been Dunc. What are you thoughts on the Micra i have one but prefer the S4 or P4,for the outside opening tools.

The Micra is quite good but I've only just started to look at it closely though .

The Swisstool front in the US would get "louder" if Vic would get off their arses and offer the new plain edge model over here!  ???

Are your talking Spirit here arent you ?  :D Now thats a whole different ball game that deserves its own thread .Although I dont think its a case of getting off their arses , more of a marketing plan . Most likely to test the home market before they release it in any quantity in the U.S

Yeah, sorry about that.  Plain edge Swisstool Spirit, that is.  Too bad the mods don't allow off-topic convo in any of these threads.  :P :D

I'm put off carrying my squirts, for the simple reason that to replace my Micra, they would have to live in the bottom of my pockets with coins and keys, and based on some of the pictures I've seen on ebay - those anodised handles don't seem to wear too well. It's a shame really as the S4 seems to be the Micra "replacement" and seems to be a superior tool. I might try to pick up a cheap one and see how well it wears.

Sorry for hijacking your Swisstool thread (again) Dunc :D

I used to come here a lot.

I just realised your name to be Dunc5.

Does this mean there were four previous Duncs whom you killed to gain their power?

or you just the lead singer for an up & coming band?

We were pretty hard on Duncs in SOSAK and wore through them pretty fast.  They got too expensive to keep replacing, so we moved the latest one over here to save the wear & tear...
