Just got my first set of good speakers

[Smaug]

Replacing a 20 year-old set of Bose 201's for my 39th birthday.

I found these Klipsch RP-160M as a no-box return in mint condition at a $200 discount. ($400 + tax)

I didn't realize I was missing so much in the midrange and highs.

The guys on the audio fora are telling me I need a more powerful receiver or amplifier to drive them, but I don't see why. I live in an apartment, they sound clear now, and go plenty loud on a fraction of the 95 W/ ch receiver that I have now.
