Welcome to  :MTO:

Do enjoy your stay, and feel free to introduce yourself in the new member section.

I think many of us are here for similar reasons why we like SAK:
Quality
Consistency
Price
Handiness
Size

If you like SAK too, you will fit right in.  :D

Welcome! I'd like to add the lack of sharp edges and abrasive surface (when closed :D ) to comis' list above. No point in a pocket knife which injures you when carried in a pocket. A lot of badly finished knives make short work of pocket lining. :)

Welcome, unpronounceable username!

Also because of variety. The number and combination of tools is almost endless.

Yes. His user name means love-because-private-nervous if translated one chinese character at a time. But the 4 characters (ai-ying-si-tan) are chosen because they sound like "Einstein", not because they mean anything

Welcome! Are you from China or Hong Kong?

I like Swiss army knives because they don't rust and they are handy tools. Of course I think theres more useful tools nowadays so I tend to use plier based multitools.

I love SAKs because I love having small pocket tools on me everyday. To me, nobody makes a better production pocket multi tool than Victorinox. Nobody makes better small affordable pocket scissors that I know of. I like the founder Karl. I like how the Swiss Army were actually issued SAKs and used them. I like how the American troops loved them and brought em back here to the States. I read somewhere that the CIA thought SAKs were advanced technology or something?

That was the Soviets and they thought a Wenger was a sabotage tool.

They're well put together, the QC is top-notch and they just work. Speaking of QC, I actually replaced my Minichamp with a Gerber Dime two days ago. And guess what, it came with a bent plier backspring, so I put something in the pliers and squeezed. Backspring collapsed, it's completely broken.

So... Back to the Minichamp!

If I had to give a one word answer, it would be "snap".  Is anyone else here as addicted to that stout snapping sound that a well maintained SAK makes?
